　　We began in 1987 as a subsidiary of the German shipyard Bremer Vulkan, under the name of SENATOR LINIE, with a 14-day round-the-world service. Following German reunification, we became an East-West German company, initially through collaboration, later merger, with the shipping-line division of Deutsche Seereederei Rostock, an East German state-owned enterprise founded in 1952. Hanjin Shipping, one of the world's biggest shipping lines, has been our principal shareholder since 1997. Thus our varied history combines many decades of experience and excellent connections in the shipping industry with a thorough knowledge of markets in both East and West.
